The VX Commodore was the update to the VT, to most, they would appear as visual changes only. The LS1 (GenIII) V8 remains an option, as does the V6 in both naturally aspirated and Supercharged form. The Supercharged VX V6 PCM remains the same as the VT's (16233396), however the standard V6 gained a new Flash based PCM (09356445), these can be identified by the brown coloured plugs and of course no removable Memcal. This Flash based PCM is not the same as used on the GenIII V8.
Program I.D Description:
The Memcal program I.D byte is located at hex
location 0x2008. If this is set to $AA it is possibly not a stock calibration.
$A5 = VX Supercharged V6 Release.
RED text indicates I have a copy of this Memcal available on request.
