Oriole in my backyard. I like to watch them drink the nectar that I make for them. |
Blue Finch in my backyard. I could watch them from my sunroom or from my patio. |

This was the first year that I had blue finches and orioles come into my yard. I was looking in my bird book and saw a picture of the blue finches and I had commented to one of my kids how neat that would be to have a blue finch visit me. It was about an hour later that I had several blue finches come eat at my feeders. I believe that the Lord blessed me by sending them there special for me to see. |

This little squirrel came to visit one day. He started out eating the seed that the birds had dropped on the ground. Then he decided to just stand up for a few minutes - long enough for me to capture a picture of him. Then he ran over to the tree by the garage and climbed up on the roof and jumped from one tree to the other until he got to the squirrel feeder on the back tree. There he ate a little more before he decided to adventure on to somewhere else. |
My oldest brother, Len came to visit me for a week in January 2002. He reminded me so much of my dad. This was the day that he was heading back hom. It was hard to see him leave. |
My brother Dan and his wife Nancy, came to visit the week of July 4th 2002. They celebrated the 4th with us, our kids and all our grandkids. They went with us to watch the fireworks the night before and also on the 4th. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed having them with us for the holiday. Nancy and I spent one morning shopping for the goodies for the 4th. It was great to have them back home if only for a few days, although I wish it could have been a longer time. |
