HOME>CHARITABLE OUTREACH

The Margaret Elizabeth Orris Charitable Foundation was established to help single parents with children to meet some of their monthly obligations, such as Rent, Utilities, and Food.

While there are many financial assistance programs available to the public, each program has its own set of requirements. These requirements are designed to help people with different needs, and to insure that only those who qualify for each program are provided the assisatnce offered by each type of program. For example, the Food Stamp Program is ONLY designed to help low income individuals and families purchase food items. Another example is the Section 8 Program, which ONLY helps low income families with Rent Payments and in some cases will give a small Utility Allowance.

Despite the availability of such programs, many people do not know how or where to apply for them, or are placed on a waiting list, due to regulations and limited funding available through the program.

The charitable outreach offered through the Margaret Elizabeth Orris Charitable Foundation is designed to assist single parents with school age children to:
1. Contact all existing
Financial Assistance Program Administrators in their local area and apply for assistance with each program for which they might qualify.
2. Provide financial assistance to qualifying households who have been denied assistance by existing programs, or have exhausted funds available to them by existing programs for which they have qualified.
