Strange how things all seem to come at once with this research - I have never been able to find a record of the marriage of Andrew Addison & Isabella Lawson although 5th Sept 1858 at Ararat Victoria is on one of the children's Birth Certificates.
Today I received my copy of the AIGS magazine "The Genealogist" and imagine my surprise to discover an article about unregistered marriages. Apparently Rev Roberts set up a church without approval of the Church of England and caused much controversy and correspondence "a sensation in the Ararat press" and listed are four couples whom he married, one of which was Andrew Addison and Isabella Lawson!
