Having trouble locating my great great grandparents John Martin and Mary Ann Gilbert. Also birth of great grandmother Mary Ann Martin born 13 Jan 1836 Truro? Cornwall. Mary Ann Martin emigrated to Australia in 1856. Possible brother Samuel, christened 20 June 1830 Copper House Chapel Wesleyan-Methodist, Hayle, Cornwall England. Does anyone have a link to any of these names. Can some one suggest way of finding these, as Samuel is the only one I have been able to locate so far and I am unsure whether he is really related as yet. Thankyou.

My greatgrandmother Mary Ann Martin arrived in Australia about 1856 aged 20 lived with her husband? William in Castlemaine Victoria in 1857 when the first child was born: they were later at Yandoit in 1872 when my Grandfather Joseph was born and then moved to Numurkah about 1880 and lived there until their deaths. I have been unable to find out anything about Mary Ann. Neither have any of our other family researchers. She is a mystery. Only information we have comes from death certificates and childrens birth certificates. But people did lie back then too, didn't they. Regards Sheryl

Looking for any information on my great great grandfather William Fairless married to Mary Ann Martin. Can't find any record of their marriage, and also hoping to find details of their families in Northumberland and Cornwall respectively.My great grandfather was Ernest Augustas Fairless born in Yandoit 1866, brother of Joseph Edwin Fairless.
