We have established that John Hooton, my maternal Great Great Grandfather arrived in Tasmania in 1845, from Olney, Buckinghamshire and we have his records up to his Ticket of Leave but not thereafter.
Just wondering if you came across him at all when you were researching your John Hooton?

Henry Hooton aged 31 came Feb 1841 on the Georgiana as Assisted British Immigrants, with Harriet 27 and Alice aged 6, with Harriet Hooton born 1844 #13873 baptised at ST James Cof E, Melbourne. Henry Hooton from Lancashire died 1868 #1516 aged 60, parents unknown.
