Robert Stanlake 1816 - 1878 #12363 aged 62 born in England son of Samuel Stanlake wed 01 Nov 1814 at Dartington, Devon, England to Mary Harding(e) of Dartington, Devon, and Jane Webber 1816 - 1886 #10400 aged 71, daughter of John, incorrectly indexed as Samuel Webber. Robert Stanlake and his wife, Jane Webber, arrived in the Port Phillip District of New South Wales upon the Himalaya in 1840. and lived first at Melbourne and later at Saltwater River, children baptised at St James, Church of England.

Charles Starr 1810 - 1863 #7830 aged 53, son of Thomas Starr, wed 1857 #345 to Mary Jane Isherwood c1836. He was called Charles Pocklington Starr when son Albert died. He came to Victoria on the Fanny, arrived August 1852, when he was aged 42, recorded on Fiche 0, Page 7. He travelled alone.

Study of the death entries for the Stent-Winterbotham children showed that Harry was sometimes called Harry Ernest. Then I found that my first Harry Stent died aged 5 years. I hope I have now found the correct founding family.

Bartholomew Sturni 1840 - 5 Nov 1904 aged 64, son of Mary Gallicotti and John Sturni, born at Contri, Switzerland, came to Australia on the Winefred, left Liverpool 19 Feb 1858 and landed at West Australia, then came to Victoria, arrived 2 June 1858. He wed 18 June 1875 at Maryborough, Victoria, to Amelia Thorp July 1854 - 6 Jul 1930 aged 86, both her parents came to Australia as convicts, and settled at Fryerstown when Amelia was born.
Amelia Sturni nee Thorp wed 1908 #6277 to widower Frederick De Heid and 1913 #11227 to Wilham Biggans who died 8 Aug 1931. (She used the surname Sturni for both marriages, and is buried at Tarnagulla with Bartholomew Sturni.)
