Probably a real long but I have two small pictures dated 1907 that are signed by what seems to be "ALFRED JAMES NEWEY". I Goggled the name and came up with your website. Do you have any information that would indicate it is the same man?

I do not know if these notes describe the person in your photo.

It looks like Alfred James Newey had a sad end. These details are from the Victorian Register of Births, Marriages and Deaths. I hope this fits with the photos you have, seem to be taken when he was aged about 28 and the year before he married Janet, who does not appear to be born in Victoria.

I was doing various google searches as part of building my family tree and I came across your site. On the site, you have an entry for Eliza Newey born in 1862 and wed to John West in 1890 and to Joseph Gale in 1895.
I am researching John West.
Eliza Newey was actually born on 12 July 1861 and married John West on 7 April 1890. John and Eliza had 3 children (John, William and Eva). Eliza died on 12 August 1898 (Victorian death certificate 14062).
Your site shows that Eliza had a second marriage to Joseph Gale and a number of children extending beyond 1898. I do not believe this to be correct. Do you have a reference for this second marriage?

Thankyou Gary My error - I have now found there were two girls called Eliza Newey. The elder was registered in 1862 at Beaufort, the second at Howlong, in the Murray in NSW

Dear Eliza,
I have just come across your website which carries information on my Crick family.
James Crick and Ann Limmer are in fact my direct ancestors (3x Gt grandparents). Some of the information you have recorded is incorrect.
This information relates to the names of James Crick's parents as well as the name of the woman their son, James Limmer Crick, married.
James Crick and Ann Limmer did marry in Cowlinge Suffolk on 25 November 1837. He was the son of John Crick and Rebecca Simmons.
Ann Limmer was the daughter of John Limmer and Elizabeth Smith.
Their son, James Limmer Crick, married Ellen Ling on 5 June 1871 Ballarat.
Ellen was the sister of Rebecca Ling, who married James' brother Charles.
I hope I don't sound rude in pointing this out, that was not my intention.
