This item is a follow-up of the letter on page m31 from J Ahern
Susan Jane Opie's parents were, Francis Opie [1829-1897] & Ann Williams [1833-1912]. To make research easy, there are two men called Francis Opie living in Ballarat, one wed to Ann Williams and the other wed 1861 #3225 to Mary Ann Thomas and both registered babies named Francis in 1863, one of whom wed 1892 #2278 to Louie Mitchell. Together they registered 15 children born, and 5 died
David Opie the brother of Francis, also lived in Ballarat East

Hi. Thought you might be interested in the fact that Karl Marx Owen is still alive in Melbourne and is 105 supposedly the oldest man in Victoria.
