James Twite 1815 - 1869 #106 aged 55, died in the district of Steiglitz of Chronic Asthma and the informant was his son Henry. His wife Mary Ann Parker 1821 - 1897 remarried and is buried at Carngham as Mary Ann Linder
James and Mary Ann Twite (both listed as aged 36) came to Australia on theMooltan in August 1853 to Geelong with Eliza Twite 15, Henry Twite 10, Betsy Twite 8, Sarah Twite 1, and George Twitewas born at Steiglitz, Victoria in 1856, their only Australian-born child indexed as Twite - I have been told Tuite is an alternate spelling!
1. Eliza Twite born 1838 at Grinston, Norfolk, England, daughter of James Twite and Mary Ann Parker, wed Jacobus Andrianus De Graaff, born 1830 at Brielle, Holland, the son of Peter Helenus De Graaf 1803 - 1878, and Annetta Van Leeuwin, who had 13 children
2. Henry Twite 1843 - 1887 #7551 aged 44, died at Meredith, son of James Twite and Mary Ann Parker, wed 1868 #1986 to Violet Naismith Craig 1848 - 1920 #10360, born at Fife, daughter of Annie Brown and James Craig.

5. George Twite 1856 #9038, only indexed Australian-born child son of James Twite and Mary Ann Parker, died 1930 #15768 at Toora. He wed 1875 #4541 to Jane Warren, whose death appears to be indexed as Jas Twite, died 1938 #13147 at Rosedale, daughter of Jane Suider and James Warren

Robert Twite 1823 - 1865 #7101 aged 42, son of Robert Twite and Maria Bridges, died at Norfold, Victoria, wed c1852 to Emma Ada Carter.
Emma Twite born at Bristol, wed 1869 #309 to George Koehler.

Information from Margaret. You mention my Great Great Grandmother's name, Emma Ada Carter/Twite. When I opened your site I see you have the shipping records of her coming back to Australia with my Great Grandmother Annie Maria and her other daughter Laura, Emma and her husband Robert Twite ( who you have s/o Robert Twite and Maria Bridges) were both transported to VDL, Robert going to Norfolk Island first. Emma had Laura and another child in Tassie who died in childhood. She went back to England to stay with Robert's parents when she was pregant with my G.Grandmother, Annie. She came back to Australia in March 1859 on the Southampton when Annie was nearly 12mths old, Laura was 6 and Emma said she was 25. Robert and Emma had another child Fredrick in Tasmania before they came to Victoria where Mary and Charles were born. Robert died 28th July 1865. Emma married George Koehler 1869 and this photo was taken on their wedding day. They had 1 child Louisa. Emma died in a Cobb & Co coach on 5 April 1877, she was on her way to the Melbourne Hospital when she suffered a fatal Asthma Attack.
