According to Charles Bateson in his book The Convict Ships 1787-1868 (pp.362-363) the Mangles sailed from London on her seventh journey to the colonies on the 21 Apr 1835 and arrived in Hobart the 1 Aug 1835, taking 102 days to complete the journey. The ship was built at Calcutta in 1802 with tonnage at 594. The Masters name was Wm. Carr and the Surgeon was Ptr. J. Suther. 310 Male convicts embarked and 310 Male convicts were landed. (p.389).

See John Barry passengers include Panton family. Jane Panton 12 December 1829 - 7 May 1902 is a daughter of James Panton and Judith OBuggy who had 3 children wed folk who arrived in Tasmania under the convict system. In 1852 James Panton is a Brewer & maltster at Swannage, Dorset, Tasmania.

Hi Elizabeth I noticed your piece on James Panton, Tasmania
He was a Tailor in High Street Hobart, [between Argyle Street and New Town Road, crossing the latter]
Was baptised 27-7-1785 Forglen Banffshire Scotland
Parents William Panton and Elizabeth Skinner [m 24-8-1783 Forglen Banffshire] Died 27-1-1862 aged 81 years
Formerly served wth the 42nd Regiment of Foot Royal Highland Black Watch 9 years and 160 days] [for 12 years at Waterloo was wounded at Quantre Bras]
His Medal and 11 clasps were held at the Black Watch Museum in Balhousie Castle Hay Street, Perth Scotland from 1963 until they lost in a major fire in 1977.
Pensioned out in Royal Chelsea Hospital 9-8-1816.
Came out as a Pensioner Guard enlisting 8-12-1825 embarked 20-2-1826 per John Barry from Deptford via Portsmouth 8-3-1826 for Tas with the Royal Vet Corps of NSW of which his Company 3 were for Hobart the rest for NSW.
Arriving 26-8-1826 Hobartown Tas.
He did bring 2 boys [James and John] with him and Judith aboard as family. No one knows whether they were his siblings or brothers. [This is where your Panton came in I think.]
Was a regimental tailor with the regiment and resumed his trade after retiring frorm the Vets 25-2-1830.
