Hello My Name Is Doris





This is a picture of me in March 2006

I live in the Great State of TEXAS.
I'm 62 years old and have been married
to my husband, Don for 42 years. I have
three grown kids. I have a grandson, William,
age 11 and twin grandchildren named Sarah and
Scott who were born on July 3rd of 2001.
My other granddaughter was born on
August 6th of 2001. Her name is Marjorie.
My daughter is Cindy and she is married
to Tom, they are the twins parents.
My oldest son Robert, Marjorie and
William's dad, is married to Becky.
My youngest son, Danny is married to Robbie.

UPDATE:
Danny and Robbie came back from China on
November 5th 2003 with my newest grandchild
they adopted there. Her name is Julianna and
she was born on January 15, 2003

 

I was a mom who stayed at home and raise my kids. When they grew up and started going their own
way and leading their own lives I then had to find something else to do with myself. For several years I
cared for small kids in my home. William was the last kid I keep and when I no longer was careing
for him I spent several months not knowing what to do with myself. Then my neighbor told me
of the great need for school crossing guards. I did that job for five and a half years. I loved my
job and I love all the great kids I met at my school. I am now retired
I got my PC on August 30th of 99 so I've been online for the last 6 years. When I got my PC I knew zero
about it but I was determined to learn how to work it. In the past years I've read and reread and reread
a lot of tutorials. From the beginning I knew I wanted to learn how to build web pages. It took me about
nine months to learn enough to attempt to build a website because I am mainly self taught on the PC.
Since then I have learned much and I now do most of my own graphics.With a background in
art I think making graphics is what interested me in making web pages. I have now learned how
to make my pages with HTML and I started this site on Geocities.

I love animals of all kinds. I think they are all beautiful in their own unique way. I had a cat
for 18 years that I took in as a stray kitten. Her name was Trouble and she passed away
on December 15, 2000. I got two kittens that Christmas, Tiger and Fluffy from the animal shelter.
They will never replace Trouble but are making their own place in my home. I made the animated
graphic below with photos of Tiger and Fluffy.

 

I have met a lot of nice people since I have been online from all over the United States and even
some from other countries. I really enjoy meeting people and I have made some great friends.
My PC is what I like to do for fun. I hope you enjoy the poems and short stories I have written
and the graphics I have made to go with them. Not all the poems, stories and graphics were done
by me so if you see something that someone else owns email me with your proof and I'll either remove
or give credit where it is due. I get most of my graphics from graphic CDs I have bought or from pictures
that I scan. I hope this page helps those of you who I have resently met and those surfing in to know who I am and
