She was an exotic beauty of the desert,
One of this lands most exquisite roses.
There hadn’t been a woman since Cleopatra,
Who had captured the hearts of so many men.

He was a visitor from a foreign country,
Who was just traveling through this desert land.
When an exotic beauty caught his eye that day
While he strolled through the market place.

Her eyes met his in a passionate stare,
She peered through deep blue eyes to his soul.
That day their burning love was unleashed,
In these two from entirely different worlds.

He stayed with her during his short visit,
Which they both hoped would never end.
Just like Romeo and Juliet, different worlds
Where destined to tear these lovers apart.

After he had gone, very much to her delight,
Their love was to live on in the miracle of birth.
She longed for him to see that gift from God,
While different worlds kept this from his sight.

So now this exotic beauty of the desert,
Keeps looking for her love to return again one day.
She sells her goods everyday at the market place,
With her blue eyed little girl beside her at play.
