I freely give the key to my heart,
For you to respect and care for.
I have put my trust in just you,
Since you are the one I adore.



You are my one and only love.
So you possess the key to my heart.
You may choose to return this love,
If not, you will tear me apart.



Love may at times be uncertain,
When we share our heart with someone.
We can only hope they will return it,
And our feelings they not shun.



I don’t give this key lightly,
For mine is a heart that’s sincere.
I can only wish your just as genuine,
And will hold my love so dear.



So now my fate is in your hands,
Because you hold this precious key.
I have opened up my heart to you,
Now I await you giving yours to me.
