There is a painting of a lady,
Hanging in my Grandpa's study.
I had always wondered just who
That beautiful woman could be.

Sometimes I would see him looking
At her with a hypnotic stare.
The look on his face did reflect,
She was someone for whom he cared.

One day when I was visiting him,
My curiosity got the best of me.
I could no longer go on without
Asking just who she might be.

"You don't recognize your grandma?"
Was what he had to say.
"She is the true love of my life,
To me she still looks the same today."

Hearing him speak those words told me,
Aging is still a loving life stage.
Even after all these many years,
In the eyes of true love she had never aged.
