Our love has passed the test of time,
After forty one years our life is sublime.
I can’t say we always got along,
We had to work to make our relationship strong.


No matter what I’ve never given up on you,
And I know you had to put up with me too.
We worked to build our life side by side,
We had many laughs but sometimes cried.


Our beautiful family is our best reward,
They are a blessing from the Lord.
We didn’t always have much money to spend,
Our love any problems could always transcend.


As we approach celebrating our forty years,
I look forward to many more having you near.
I shall thank God for you everyday,
Because I know all my fears you will allay.
