Pic 16: This is a pic of the famous Badshahi Masjid located in Lahore, Pakistan, built by the Mughal Emperors. It was taken when our family went to recite our Eid prayer there.
Pic 17: This is a pic of Faisal Masjid located in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is surrounded by mountains. It is named after former King Faisal of Saudi Arabia.

This is the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah's mausoleum located in Karachi, Pakistan. I've never been there, but it definitely is a beautiful work of Islamic architecture! This is also a postcard from my Grandma to my Mother. It seems my relatives all sent each other postcards rather than calling during the holidays!
Pic 19: This is a postcard to my Father of the mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Jehangir located in Lahore, Pakistan. Jehangir and Noor Jahan were husband and wife.
Pic 20: This is taken of Queen Noor Jahan's (Mughal Empress') mausoleum in Lahore, Pakistan.
Pic 21: This is the "Grand Mosque" in Kuwait, it is said to be the largest mosque in Kuwait. Visit its webpage at Grand Mosque
Pics 22-26: These are pics taken of the exterior of Masjid Nabawi, The Prophet's (PBUH) Mosque, upon arrival in Medinah.
Pic 27: This is the spiral minaret of The Great Mosque of Samarra. During the period when Baghdad was the capital of the Islamic empire, the mu'adhin would mount a horse and ride up the Malwiyah to call the Adhan or call to prayer.
Pic 28: This is the rock within the Dome of the Rock that the Prophet (PBUH) ascended to Heaven.
Pic 29-30: These are pics of the Dome of the Rock, where kids are shown playing and brothers are shown praying in the snow out front. It appeared in the NY Newsday on Janurary 29, 2000.
