I would dearly love to see the name of a 2nd Great granduncle included in someone's Civil War pages!! I have not found him listed in the Michigan Rosters, nor on Don Harvey's pages, but I have part of his file from the National Archives, and have visited his grave site at the Old Soldiers Home in Grand Rapids, Kent County, MI.
Eugene Hugh Conklin Company "G" 19th Michigan Infantry Born about April 30, 1837 in King's County, Ireland Died December 22, 1923 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, MI
He never married but his probate file (#37660) in Kent County was and still is the only piece of information that I have been able to locate that ties the family of eight Irish siblings, their children and grandchildren together!! I do not need to have my name and information added to your Surname Researchers page - just to see Hugh included in the Roster lists will be enough.
