Seraphim Falls (2006) - Hayes Set after the Civil War, Seraphim Falls follows the quest of an ex-Confederate soldier (Liam Neeson) who is seeking revenge for the loss of his family during the war. The man he is hunting is an ex-Yankee soldier (Pierce Brosnan). Michael Wincott has a more substantial role as hired gun-man Hayes who along with two others are accompanying Neeson's character in the hunt for their prey. Now out on DVD.
Assassination of Richard Nixon (2004) - Julius Byck Set during the 1970s, "Nixon" centers on the true story of Philadelphia furniture salesman Sam Byck (Sean Penn), who hatches a plot to kill Richard Nixon after Byck's attempts to live out the American dream are dashed. Byck had planned to hijack a commuter flight in Atlanta and crash the airliner into the White House. Michael has a role as Julius Byck - Sam Byck's older brother. Directed by Niels Muller
Remembering Charlie (2003) - Richard Aiken. Movie made for TV. I have no storyline for this movie at the moment. Michael Wincott plays the role of a character called Richard Aiken. Directed by Graeme Clifford.
Treasure Island (2002) - Scroop Disney's futuristic twist on Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Treasure Planet follows troubled teenager Jim Hawkins on a fantastic journey across the universe, where he becomes a cabin boy aboard a majestic space galleon. Befriended by the ship's charismatic cyborg cook, John Silver, Jim blossoms under his guidance and shows the makings of a fine shipmate as he and the alien crew battle a supernova, a black hole, and a ferocious space storm. But even greater dangers lie ahead when Jim discovers that his trusted friend Silver is actually a scheming pirate with mutiny on his mind. A secured hi-tech computer line, the red phone accesses only terrorist activity already investigated and verified by - but beyond the grasp of - any one of a number of international police, special security, and military agencies, so its urgent signal raises the alarm on a clear and present danger - an explosive situation that only AT 2000 can defuse. Michael Wincott plays the part of Van Eyck. Directed by Jerry Jameson.
The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) - Dorleac Remake of the famous original version. Edmond Dantes (Jim Caviezel) is framed for treason, following his acceptance to deliver a letter from Napoleon during his visit to Elba. Dantes is sent unlawfully to the infamous island prison of Chateau D'If where he meets Dorleac (Michael Wincott), the sadistic jailer who likes to beat up his inmates on the anniversary of their incarceration. After thirteen years of imprisonment Dantes, with the help of fellow inmate Abbe Faria (Richard Harris), manages to escape and sets out to reek revenge on those who betrayed him. A small but memorable part for Michael Wincott that he plays with gusto and a bit of humour. Directed by Kevin Reynolds. Available on video and DVD.
Before Night Falls (2000) - Herberto Zorilla Ochoa Episodic look at the life of Cuban poet and novelist, Reinaldo Arenas (1943-1990), from his childhood in Oriente province to his death in New York City. He joins Castro's rebels. By 1964, he is in Havana. He meets the wealthy Pepe, an early lover; a love-hate relationship lasts for years. Openly gay behavior is a way to spite the government. His writing and homosexuality get him into trouble: he spends two years in prison, writing letters for other inmates and smuggling out a novel. He befriends Lázaro Gomes Garriles, with whom he lives stateless and in poverty in Manhattan after leaving Cuba in the Mariel boat-lift. When asked why he writes, he replies cheerfully, "Revenge." Michael plays the part of Herberto Zorilla Ochoa. Directed by Julian Schnabel. Has been showing on Sky TV.
The Darkest Day (1999) - Freddy. Movie made for TV. Michael Wincott plays the part of Freddy. I have no more info on the plot line. Directed by Roberta C. Williams.
Along Came A Spider (1999) - Gary Soneji This thriller tells the story of Dr Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman), a Forensic Psychologist who is called in to investigate the kidnapping of a child, taken from an expensive private school in Washington. All of the signs lead to someone by the name of Gary Soneji (Michael Wincott), who may be the greatest criminal mind Cross has come up against yet, an evil individual who wants to prove to Cross that he is the greatest criminal mastermind ever. The film also stars Monica Potter as a Secret Service agent Jezzie Flannigan. Directed by Lee Tamahori. Available on video and DVD.
Hidden Agenda (1998) - Larry Gleason A medical student (Kevin Dillon) becomes involved in espionage while investigating the suspicious death of his brother (Rod Wilson) in Berlin. Michael has a small part as a leading government official, who is searching for a tiny microchip which contains important information. The film co-stars Andrea Roth, Christopher Plummer and J. T. Walsh. This political thriller was directed by Iain Paterson and is not yet widely available on video but can be found in some countries such as Holland. The movie was recently shown on national TV in Britain.
Gunshy (1998) - Frankie McGreagor A freelance journalist (William Petersen) gets disastrously involved with the criminal underworld of Atlantic City when he befriends Frankie McGregor, a mob enforcer (Michael Wincott) and falls in love with the enforcer’s girlfriend (Diane Lane). Frankie is keen to educate and improve himself, and wants to learn all he can from his new friend, but things become explosive when he realises that he has been betrayed by the people he cares for most. Jeff Celentano directed this drama. Available on video and DVD.
Alien: Resurrection (1997) - Captain Frank Elgyn The fourth film in the "Alien" series. Ripley’s (Sigourney Weaver) blood, taken by the Company 200 years earlier, provides the DNA to enable scientists to clone her with an alien foetus inside her. After surgically removing the alien, the scientists begin breeding aliens on a spaceship traveling near the fringe of our solar system, but soon after mercenaries arrive to deliver their secret cargo, the aliens break free and overrun the ship. Ripley leads a small group of survivors as they struggle to reach the docked mercenary ship and escape. Michael plays Elgyn, captain of the mercenaries. Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, this Science Fiction movie is available on video and DVD.
Metro (1997) - Mike Korda Roper, a San Francisco Police hostage negotiator, (Eddie Murphy) already has enough problems in his dangerous profession and troubled personal life, when he is assigned to train a young partner (Michael Rapaport), and his best friend is murdered by a ruthless jewel thief. Mike Korda, the killer and jewel thief, is planning his last big job, but when things go wrong, he takes his revenge out on Roper. This action/drama is directed by Thomas Carter and is available on video and DVD.
Basquiat (1996) - Rene Ricard Jean-Michel Basquiat (Jeffrey Wright) made a meteoric rise to fame in the art world during the 1980s. This film traces his life as he goes from a homeless graffiti painter to becoming a renowned artist and close friend of pop-artist Andy Warhol (David Bowie) before dying from a drug overdose in 1988 at the age of 27. Michael plays René Ricard, the flamboyant art critic/poet who helps Basquiat find fame. Directed by Julian Schnabel, this drama is available on video and DVD.
Dead Man (1996) - Conway Twill A naïve accountant (Johnny Depp) travels from Cleveland to the American frontier, but instead of finding the job he was promised there, he’s shot in the chest during a gunfight. He kills a man in self-defence and is then chased across the wilderness by three bounty hunters and marshals as he travels on a metaphysical journey with a Native American (Gary Farmer) who befriends him. Michael plays Conway Twill, a chatterbox bounty hunter that even talks in his sleep and sleeps with a teddy bear. It is said that Michael ad-libbed most of his lines in this funny movie. This black and white western / black comedy is directed by Jim Jarmusch, and is available on video and DVD.
Strange Days (1995) - Philo Gant A provider (Ralph Fiennes) of illicit entertainment - digitally recorded ‘playback clips’ of human experience that are seen, heard and felt as if the viewer had actually lived them - struggles to pull his unhappy life together in Los Angeles, December 1999. He still pines for his ex-girlfriend, Faith (Juliette Lewis), even though his relationship with her pulls him and his closest friends into a nightmare of murder and betrayal as the new millennium approaches. Michael plays record producer/talent manager Philo Gant, the man who lured Faith away from her boyfriend. The drama is directed by Catherine Bigelow and is available on video and DVD.
Panther (1995) - Tynan A drama about the Black Panther Party movement in the United States that began in the 1960s and helped bring about civil rights changes. Michael has a small role as Tynan, a sinister gangster who is involved with the police and FBI as they all unite to subdue the Panthers. The movie is directed by Mario Van Peebles and is available on video.
The Crow (1994) - Top Dollar Violent yet romantic story based on James O’Barr’s comic books about an avenging ghost (Brandon Lee) who returns a year after his murder to punish the urban gang of criminals responsible for his and his fiancée’s deaths. Michael plays Top Dollar, the city’s crime lord. This Gothic drama is directed by Alex Proyas and is available on video and DVD, including a Special Edition DVD.
Romeo is Bleeding (1994) - Sal A corrupt New York cop (Gary Oldman) sells information to the Mob concerning the whereabouts of criminal witnesses so they can be murdered and their testimony blocked. His lucrative scheme backfires, and his personal life and career disintegrate when he gets involved with sexy hitwoman Mona Demarkov (Lena Olin). Michael has a small role as Sal, the policeman’s liaison with the Mob. This drama is directed by Peter Medak and is available on video and DVD.
The Three Musketeers (1993) - Captain Rochefort Three French swordsmen Kiefer Sutherland, Charlie Sheen and Oliver Platt) from the disbanded Musketeers unite with a young heroic swashbuckler (Chris O’Donnell) to protect their king from Cardinal Richelieu’s (Tim Curry) evil plots. Michael plays Count de Rochefort, the villainous Captain of the cardinal’s guard, who will do anything to further his own ambitions and exact revenge on the three Musketeers who stood against him. Directed by Stephen Herek, this adventure is available on video and DVD.
1492: The Conquest of Paradise (1992) - Don Adrian de Moxica The story of explorer Christopher Columbus (Gerard Depardieu) who leads an expedition across the Atlantic Ocean in search of a new trade route and discovers the Americas instead. Bored, and disillusioned by the lack of gold that has been found, Don Adrian de Moxica, (Michael Wincott), a Spanish aristocrat leads a revolt against Columbus in the New World during its early colonisation. Filmed in hauntingly exotic locations, the movie also contains beautiful music by Vangelis. An adventure directed by Ridley Scott, which is available on video and DVD.
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) - Sir Guy of Gisbourne Robert of Locksley (Kevin Costner) returns home from the Crusades to find his father (Brian Blessed) murdered, his lands confiscated, and the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman) oppressing his countrymen with the help of his cousin and lead henchman, Sir Guy of Gisbourne (Michael Wincott). Robin takes refuge in Sherwood Forest, trains a band of outlaws to fight against injustice, and robs wealthy noblemen in order to help the poor. Eventually he must lead a rebellion against Nottingham in order to foil a plot on King Richard’s life, and save Marian Dubois, the woman he loves (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio). This adventure was directed by Kevin Reynolds and is available on video and DVD.
The Doors (1991) - Paul Rothchild The story of rock’s legendary Jim Morrison (Val Kilmer) and The Doors. The film depicts Jim Morrison’s life from early childhood through to his death in 1971, and celebrates the lasting contribution of the band’s music. Michael plays Paul Rothchild, the band’s recording producer/friend. The drama was directed by Oliver Stone and is available on video and DVD.
The Tragedy of Flight 103: The Inside Story (1990) - Ulrich Weber. Movie made for TV. An HBO film based on real events leading up to the destruction of a Pan Am passenger jet by terrorists in 1988.On December 21, 1988, Pan Am flight 103, a Boeing 747 carrying 259 people on a London-JFK flight, exploded over Lockerbie in Scotland, killing all passengers, plus 11 people on the ground. Now that we know flight 103 was brought down by a bomb, this movie shows, several years after the event, the threats of Pan Am safety and the spirit of vengeance from the Middle East after an Iran Air airbus is brought down by mistake by an American missile in 1988, leading finally to the transfer of a bomb disguised as a radio at Frankfurt, then on to flight 103. Michael plays Ulrich Weber, the chief of security at Pan Am’s Frankfurt Airport. Directed by Leslie Woodhead this drama was available on video. Watch out for new or second hand copies that may become available.
Suffering Bastards (1989) - Chazz The misadventures of two brothers (John C. McGinley and David Warshaofsky) who follow their dream to own an Atlantic City night-club and become singers. Michael has a small role as Chazz, the real estate agent who sells the brothers their club, and later auditions to work there. He also provides the voiceovers for radio disk jockeys, and is credited with voiceovers of an emcee and pilot. Directed by Bernard McWilliams this drama is available on video, but is extremely hard to find.
Bloodhounds of Broadway (1989) - Soupy Mike A movie based on four Damon Runyon short stories set in New York City during the Roaring 20’s about two speakeasy performers’ (Jennifer Grey and Madonna) romantic problems, and the myriad of ‘colourful characters’ in their circle. Michael has a small role as Soupy Mike, the wisecracking bartender at a socialite’s (Julie Hagerty) New Year’s Eve Party. Directed by Howard Brookner this romantic comedy is available on video and DVD.
Born on the 4th July (1989) - a Vietnam Vet An emotionally moving true story of paralysed Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic (Tom Cruise) that tracks his journey from patriotic enlistment into the Marines to becoming an outspoken anti-war activist. Michael has a very small role as a paraplegic veteran Kovic meets in Mexico. Blink and you'll miss this appearance! The part was originally longer and rather harrowing; it was eventually cut from the final released movie. This drama is available on video and DVD.

Talk Radio (1988) - Kent / Voice of 'Joe' This drama is a brilliant character study about a radio talk show host (Eric Bogosian) who heaps verbal abuse on everyone around him, making some dangerous enemies on the way. Michael plays Kent, an exuberant call-in prankster who is invited to be a guest on the show. Michael also provides the voice-overs for callers Michael and Joe. The drama was directed by Oliver Stone and is available on video.
The Sicilian (1987) - Corporal Silvestro Canio An idealistic outlaw (Christopher Lambert) struggles to retain his independence and win freedom for his countrymen from the oppressive landowners, Mafia and Church that controlled post-WWII Sicily. Michael plays Corporale Silvestro Canio, a policeman who ends up joining the outlaw’s men. Directed by Michael Cimino, this drama is available on video. (Look for the longer version).
Curtains (1983) - Matthew A lecherous director (John Vernon) invites several young actresses to audition for a role in his isolated home in the country when his actress/lover (Samantha Eggar) unexpectedly turns up straight from her stay in an insane asylum. Michael has a small role as Matthew, the director’s young protégé/servant. This horror movie was directed by Jonathan Stryker (an alias for Richard Ciupka). An American Christmas Carol (1979)- Choir leader An American version of Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol" set in the Great Depression of 1933. The cold hearted owner of a finance company (Henry Winkler) ruins Christmas for his community by repossessing property from people too poor to pay, until a visitation from three ghosts remind him of his orphaned past and show him a tragic future unless he mends his ways. Michael has a very small role as an orphan who leads a group of caroling children as they ask for donations for the orphanage. This movie is directed by Eric Till and was formerly available on video. It was shown on TV in the UK Christmas 1998. Watch out for new or second hand copies which may be available.
Title Shot (1979) - character name unknown. Movie made for TV.In Toronto, Canada, a troubled police detective investigates fixed betting and corruption in the world of heavyweight boxing. He uncovers a plot by a crime boss to use computerised data to rig fights. Everything is resolved during an explosive finale, set during a world heavyweight championship bout. I do not know the name of Michael Wincott's character. Directed by Les Rose.
Wild Horse Hank (1979) - Charlie Connors A young woman (Linda Blair) rescues a herd of wild horses from men who intend to sell them to be slaughtered for dog food, and herds them over 150 miles of wilderness to a federal reservation where they will be safe from recapture. Michael Wincott plays Charlie Connors, a young rodeo circuit rider who defies his older brother (Al Waxman) to help her get the horses to safety. This is Michael’s movie debut and one of his largest roles to date. This drama is directed by Eric Till and was formerly available on video. The Family Man (1979) - Charlie. Movie made for TV.A happily married owner of a Manhattan parking garage (Ed Asner) has an affair with one of his customers, a much younger single woman (Meredith Baxter Birney). But as they become closer, Eddie becomes increasingly worried about his marriage and neglected wife. He must eventually make a choice. Michael has a small role playing Charlie, a mechanic in the garage. Directed by Glenn Jordan, this made-for CBS television drama was originally aired on 19th December 1979.

Episode no. 1.3 An American soldier (Mario Van Peebles) who is AWOL and hiding in Paris falls in love with a mysterious woman (Siobhan Burke) who is involved with a family of burglars. Michael plays Arnaud, the woman’s dangerous French lover. Directed by Jean Marc Vallee this drama was originally aired in May 1996 on HBO.
The Equalizer - "The Caper" (1987) - Devin Jerreau. Episode no. unknown.An elderly cleaning woman (Maureen Stapleton) witnesses the murder of a diamond cutter in Central Park and asks Robert McCall (Edward Woodward) for help when she realises the murderer followed her home. She loves to read murder mysteries, so she also becomes an amateur sleuth trying to solve the case herself. Michael plays Devin Jerreau, the English leader of a jewel heist team that steals a diamond worth 17 million dollars. Directed by Alan Metzger this drama was originally aired on 4th May 1989 on CBS television.
Crime Story - "Femme Fatale" (1986) - Bobby Meeker. Episode no. 2.12 A beautiful Chinese spy (Charlotte Lewis) tricks Torello (Dennis Farina) into helping her find a missing gambler. Michael plays Bobby Meeker, a Vegas loan shark that comes into possession of a canister of stolen radioactive plutonium. This drama was directed by Jan Eliasberg and was originally aired on 19th January 1988 on NBC television. It was available on video.
Crime Story - "The Senator, the Movie Star and the Mob" (1986) - Bobby Meeker. - Episode no. 2.1 A senator (Kevin Spacey) holds subcommittee hearings in Las Vegas to expose organised crime holdings, and Department of Justice Lieutenant Mike Torello (Dennis Farina) falls for a beautiful starlet (Jenny Wright). Michael has a small role as Bobby Meeker, a Vegas loan shark with information about the Mob’s plan to assassinate the senator. Directed by John Nicollela this drama was originally aired on 22nd September 1987 on NBC television. It is available on video.
The Equalizer - "High Performance" (1985) - Jordan. Episode no. 2.12. A skyscraper steelworker (Patricia Charbonneau) witnesses a woman’s murder in a nearby building, and the killer sees her watching him. The police don’t believe her when they investigate and find the apartment empty of tenants and the body missing, so she asks Robert McCall (Edward Woodward) to help her when attempts are made to murder her too. Michael plays Jordan, the hired killer who is out to silence the witness. Originally aired on 7th January 1987 on CBS television this drama was directed by Russ Mayberry.
Miami Vice - "Blood & Roses" (1984) - Wilson Cook. Episode no. 4.19.An undercover police detective (Saundra Santiego) is attracted to the gangster (Stanley Tucci) she’s assigned to get convicting evidence on. Michael has a small role as Wilson Cook, a pasta manufacturer who is trafficking illegal drugs. This drama was directed by George Mendeluk. It was originally aired on 1st April 1988 on NBC television.
Night Heat - Jack Tenelli. (I don't know the episode title or date)Police detective Frank Giambone (Jeff Wincott) investigates the murders of elderly women at a senior citizen centre where the women were tricked into withdrawing their life savings prior to their deaths. Michael plays Jack Tenelli, the son of one of the murdered women. Aired on CBS television - date unknown.
The Littlest Hobo - "Wolf Hunt" (1979) - Jeff. Episode no. 3.3 A hunter and his two teenage sons hunt a wild dog and her pups while the Littlest Hobo thwarts them. Michael plays Jeff, the hunter's sensitive son who doesn't like hunting. Originally aired on 1st October 81 on CTV television. Michael's brother, Jeff Wincott also appeared in this episode of the family drama as Michael's character's brother
The Littlest Hobo - "Stand In" (1979) - Charlie. Episode no. 1.11 A Security guard is plagued by a series of on-the-job robberies until the Littlest Hobo helps him. Michael plays Charlie, one of the young thieves. This family drama was directed by Stan Olsen and was originally aired on 27th December 1979 on CTV television.
Stage performances States of Shock (1991) - Stubbs A colonel (John Malkovich), symbolically dressed as a soldier of all American wars, enters a coffee shop with Stubbs (Michael Wincott), a young veteran in a wheelchair, where they confront the colonel’s denial of his crippled son’s (Stubbs) existence. Other cast members include Erica Gimpel, Isa Thomas, and Steve Nelson. Written by Sam Shepard and directed by Bill Hart. This drama was performed at the American Place Theatre beginning in April 1991.
The Secret Rapture (1989) - Irwin Posner Two English sisters, one a self-absorbed Cabinet minister (Frances Conroy), the other a compassionate advertising agency artist (Blair Brown), struggle to cope with their father’s alcoholic widow (Mary Beth Hurt), and the men (Stephen Vinovich and Michael Wincott) they love who complicate their lives. His arguments during the course of one night’s talk show reveal his own anger is fuelled as much by self-hatred as by contempt for his callers. Other Works Narc (2005) - Mr Big - (Video Game) Again Michael 's voice lends itself to a video game, this time as the character Mr Big. NARC is an in-depth, third-person action/shooter video game set against a stylized modern-day backdrop of the War on Drugs. Playing as dual characters, Hitman and Max Force, in the elite NARC squad you must rid the world of the powerful international K.R.A.K. drug cartel. Find them, bust them and/or kill them to bring justice to action-packed, crime-ridden, drug-infested streets. In NARC, players have an arsenal of weapons to use as well as down-and-dirty hand-to-hand fighting skills.
Halo 2 (2004) - The Prophet of Truth (Video Game) Michael Wincott is the voice of The Prophet of Truth, or just Truth on this game. It is available now, but I think that you need to get to the end of the game before you hear Michael's voice on it.
Narc (2004) - Mr Big Michael Wincott is the voice of Mr. Big on this video game. No other information available at the moment.
Tatum The Toad (2004) - Narrator Michael has recently completed the narration for the charming tale of Tatum the Toad on Disney's "A World of Happiness" CD. The CD also contains contributions from other stars such as Samuel L Jackson, Rosanna Arquette, Gary Oldman, Deborah Harry and many more. This CD is available to buy from most good record stores or Amazon and other online stores etc. The proceeds of this CD goes to charity.
Every Silver Lining Has a Gray Cloud - Julian Schnabel. Michael plays acoustic guitar on the track entitled 'Apartment # 9', and harmonica on another track on his friend Julian Schnabel's album.
