A recent visitor to the Wayne County A.L.H.N. sent to me the Real Estate Release below. It was dated 18 January 1840 and contains information regarding the Horner family and other interested parties.

Farmsby Horner was a "North American Farmer" who lived in the Township of Van Buren in the county of Wayne in the State of Michigan. William Horner was a farmer, who lived in the township of Augusta in the county of Washtenaw in the State of Michigan.

William Farmsby Horner late of Roughton, Norfolk, UK aforesaid farmer and cooper made his last Will and Testament which bears the date 18 January 1840.

George Washington Skelmire, miller, of Union City in the County of Branch, MI, and his wife Rachel (Watts).


William Farmsby Horner's daughters: Elizabeth Horner, of Blakeney in Norfolk, UK, Rachel Watts, her children and Louasia Turrel, Charlotte Ward of Roughton, Norfolk, UK, Sophia Bunting, sons' of William Farmsby Horner, Farmsby Horner, William Horner and son-in-law Charles Ward.
Mr. John Elden, farmer and carpenter, in Thuayte in the County of Norfolk, UK became executor of the Will and with William Farmsby Horner's, wife, Elizabeth.
