Harleys, Hogs, and Fun!!!!

As I travel I plan to post pictures of events and friends as time goes on and I ride towards the sunset on my Harley. I am a member of the music, children's and first aid ministry teams of the Shoals Faith Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association. This coming year (2008) I am honored to be serving as Vice President or our chapter. I am also a member and Chaplin of the Tuscumbia, Alabama HOG Chapter (Harley Owners Group). I reside in the Shoals area of Alabama.

Hope you enjoy the ride, I know I am!

You might see me at one of many nursing homes around the my area. I have been enjoying this ministry for 34 years.

You might even see me up in the sky, with out the reindeer!!!

The Sheffield HOG Chapter at Foster Harley Shop, July of 2001 just before Foster moved out to Highway 72 in Tuscumbia.

During June of 2001 I went on a 6974 mile trip on my bike across the western US. Got all of the states except for Utah, Colorado, Washington, and North Decota. Some of the most beautiful scenery on earth. Some of the friendliest people I have ever met. An absolutely wonderful trip. Here are some of the pictures from the trip.

Riding partners and friends.

Rockie and Manny and I on the ferry in Mobile Bay on a ride to Pensacola. Good friends! Good ride!

I traded the Super Glide off in September of 2001 for an Electra Glide. Chester's wife, Pat, was the first one to ride with me in Nashville.

My riding buddy and brother in Christ, Bill Brownell and I at Guntersville Dam in north eastern Alabama.

The Lord is always enough to make me smile but add in a Harley and there you go!

And the icing on the cake, a paint job like this, done by Joe Keenum of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, now I'm really smiling!!
Traded off the Electra Glide for this Heritage Softail Clasic. It is by far the best riding experience I have had on a bike. I think I will keep this one for a while. If the Lord does not return by the end of this summer, I hope He allows me to ride both to Maine in June and to Idaho in September on the Heritage. I will post as many pictures from the trip as possible.

During September of 2003 I went on a 6600 mile trip on my bike, again across the western US. This time I achieved my goal of riding in all the states west of the Mississippi. Still great scenery and even greater people. I could not have wished for a better ride. Along the way I met riders from Sweeden, Austraila, Canada, Germany and Austria. Here are some of the pictures from the trip.

Aug. 6th of 2004 Don and Sue Landers and I left Tuscumbia, AL for a 5366 mile trip out to Sturgis, SD., May, Idaho, Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon. Don and Sue are fellow members of the Shoals Faith Riders chapter of the CMA and are people of such quality that at the drop of a hat (or helment), I would follow them anywhere. We had a wonderfully blessed time; so much so I couldn't begin to tell you how great a time it was. Here are just a few of the many pictures we took along the way.
