1965 Farmall Cub Lo-Boy. The Lo-Boy is much better suited than the regular
Farmall Cubs to mowing under trees and on steep hillsides, due to its lower
center of gravity and low overall height. This tractor needed the most work
of all the Cubs to be useful. I had to split the tractor in order to replace
the front transmission seal and rear engine seal. The Touch Control hydraulic
system failed, and I had to rebuild it completely, and the steering arms were
so badly bent that I could not align the steering. Now, with the Woods L59
mower, it does a better job than even the 1964 Cub. So I usually use it for
most of my lawn mowing, except where the grass is very heavy, then I have
to use one of the "brush cutters".
