Concert of: 3 Doors Down
Date:
5 June 2001
Location:
Wisseloord studios, Hilversum, The Netherlands

3 Doors Down is one of my favorite bands. Last year there was a contest on the radio where you could win a meet and greet and a mini concert with the guys of 3 Doors Down. I called to the radio station, and I won the tickets!!
I went together with my sister to the studios, where 8 other winners where waiting for the things to happen. Then we were told get in to the studio. We could see the guys after glass. They played 5 songs:
Not Enough
Loser
Be like that
Kryptonite
Duck and run

Two of the songs were also live on the radio. After this, we could meet the guys. That was really great!! They were all very nice. Chris, (the guitar player) gave all of us a plectrum. He had I think more then 30 plectrum in his pocket. Rich (drummer) gave me his drumstick, and signed it! They also signed our cd's and pictures, and gave us all the time to make photos.
It was really great! After that, I became a much bigger fan then that I was! ;-)

Concert of:
Train
Date:
13 october 2001
Location: Nighttown Rotterdam

Train is a band from the US. They had a huge hit here in Holland with the song Drops of Jupiter.
The concert was very good! They perfromed for about 1,5 hour. The voice of the singer Pat is very beautiful, and gave me the shivers. The crowd was a bit silent. The didn' t sing along with the songs. That's also because almost nobody knew the songs from their first album. That album wansn't released her yet. But the singer had other ways to make the crowd go wilder. He sat on the front of the podium, and let the people touch him. His moves are a little weird. He often stood on one feet, and bended to the front. But I really enjoyed the gig!!

Concert of: Live
Date: 17 May 2002
Location: Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Live is in my opinion one of the greatest rockbands in the world. I became a fan afther I bought their album The distance to here. The gig was in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. That isn't very big, so we could stand in the front. The first support act was Ed Kowalczyk his younger brother Adam who played 4 songs. After him a band from the US called Phantom Planet played for half an hour. The were good. A bit weird, but I like their music. Then finally Live came on stage! Ed was bold again, and looked very sexy! :-) Chad Taylor looked also very good! The gig started with Simple creed. So, everyone was direct in a good mood!! They played many new songs, but also a few 'oldies' like Lakini's Juice, Selling the drama, and of course I alone.
At the end Ed song Overcome. That was so beautiful!!!
After the show I was lucky to catch a plectrum.
I almost can't wait until they come to Holland again!

Concert of: Lost Prophets
Date:
20 June 2002
Location:
The Milky Way

Me and my friend Lies were at the Milky way around 6:00 PM. We had a chat with the drivers of the tourbus. While we were waiting and talking, one of the bandmembers Mike came outside. He gave us an autograph, and let us make a photo with him. About half an hour later an other bandmember, Lee came outside.
The gig started at 9:00 PM. The support act was a Dutch band called Face Tomorrow. They were very good!! At 10:00 PM Lost Propets came on stage.
This was the setlist:

Handsome
Fake Sound
And She Told Me
New One
Miles
Still Laugh
For Sure
Kobrakai
Five
Shinobi

The show was really great!! The guys were really good, and the crowd went crazy. People came on the podium and jumped back in to the crowd. One thing that wasn't so good, was that the microphone of the singer Ian didn't work all the time. That's why sometimes it was hard to hear which song they started to play. At the end of the show Lies and I both got a plectrum.
