Ashley Bursey was crowned Miss Teen Newfoundland and Labrador on February 24, 2003. She was a standout in the group of 40 with her intellect and exceptional public speaking ability. Congratulations to Nikki Ryan, who represented Port Saunders, on placing third overall.
In October 2002, Lori O'Keefe competed for the title of Miss Oktoberfest. Although she did not win she was a talent finalist and was chosen by her fellow contestants as Miss Gemeuilichit (Friendship). Congratulations to Meredith Boggs, the new Miss Oktoberfest, who represented Georgia and was also the winner of the swimsuit competition!
"From Lori to Lori" - on September 24, 2002, Lori Dunphy was crowned as the 44th Miss Newfoundland and Labrador. Best wishes to Lori for an enjoyable year!
Congratulations to Nikki Ryan the first Miss Teen Northern Peninsula. Nikki is an honours student who maintains a 96% average while still competing in seven different sports.
