In my opinion a big part of being a responsible pet owner is having your pet spayed or neutered!!

It makes me so very sad that there are so many animals that have to be put down each year because of a lack of good caring homes (in San Antonio, TX approx 50,000 animals were put to sleep). It makes me sad to see a stray kitty or puppy wondering the streets. Aren't these animals deserving of a good home with humans that will love them and take care of them. The answer is again a resonding YES!!!

And then I become angry if only people would have our pets spayed or neutered there would not be so many homeless, hungry animals. I have heard all the excuses and frankly they just don't cut it with me. You look into the eyes of a homeless animal or go to the shelter and remember these animals are doomed for a horrible fate. And by not spaying and neutering our animals we are almost certainly condeming them or there offsprings for such a fate.

Now ask yourself do you want that on your Conscious!!!

Yes, I am on my soapbox and will remain there about this issue until people do the right thing. I am blessed to be owned by three wonderful cats (which I may add are all spayed). If this has in any way offended you, I am sorry you feel that way, truely sorry for the countless animals that are affected by such an attitude.
