We all have our Guardian Angels
They are with us through every new day
Yet there are times we wonder where they are
In times so dark and gray
When someone we love passes away
We feel the emptiness so deep
From that part of our life they filled
To hear their voice being all we seek
It is only my thoughts I can share with you now
Of what I think lies beyond this life
I see heaven as a beautiful place
Where the soul is free to dance on the light
Greeted by those who have passed before
To welcome us to eternity
Helping us understand our place in time
To live in the purest loving peace
We become angels with new duties to perform
But unlike here what we do is found in the heart and soul
We are matched with duties that bring us joy
As our everlasting life unfolds
One of our loved ones may have the duty Keeper Of The Stars
Moving across the heavens making sure they always burn bright
To shine for those who they left behind
To bring wonder and a smile on a dark night
Another loved one may have the duty of Creating The Rainbows
To open the clouds with beautiful colors of light
To show the ones they love even on the darkest of days
Beauty love and peace are never far out of sight
Even with their duties to perform
The ones they love here are never out of mind
They always keep a watchful eye
To help them in troubling times
To lift their souls and fill their hearts with love
To hold them within their wings
To bring them shelter in the darkest of times
To fill them with an inner peace
We may wonder at times if they see us with all they do
I have wondered this myself many times in life
Place a candle on a shelf and I hope you find
When you light it they see the flame so bright
Once lit close your eyes and take a long deep breath
Fill your thoughts with the loved one you need
Soon you will find a loving wave move through your soul
You will know they are holding you in their wings
The next time you have a night filled with stars
Gaze across all the heavens for a star that flickers its light
That may be your loved one performing his duty
To keep its shine so beautiful and bright
The next day filled with rain
Watch as the clouds start to part to a pure blue sky
Your loved one may bring you a rainbow
Filling the heavens with its wonder and delight
Anytime you need them to fill your heart
Anytime you need your soul wrapped in their wings
Light the candle to call your loved ones angel
