As our souls walk this earth
We wonder what the future holds
To sometimes feel the softest touch
To another so very cold
I have walked this earth for many years
Only to have the path hide from view
In the mist of the mind we all try to find
The doorway to finally walk through
In my search and all my dreams
I can see it so clear
Yet when I wake and open my eyes
Reality turns it all to a blur
I now resolve my every day
In a truth I wished I didn't see
In the truth I find in life
Romance only resides in my sleep
Is it wrong to be happy
Not wanting to wake
To remain in the unconscious
Where our mind is allowed to create
The perfect life and perfect world
Where we share our love with another so close
Is this other only in our mind
Or is this another soul
To venture out in our normal life
We pass by without a glance
Till we close our eyes and drift off to sleep
The souls to join and enjoy the dance
