Author:  MitchPell

Disclaimer:  I don’t own anything that has to do with Smallville; it’s characters, DC comics, or the WB.  I’m just using their stuff for a little bit of non-profitable fun.

Author Notes:  These are my drabbles for the Wednesday 100 word challenges over at
www.livejournal.com.

Summary:  Depends on the challenge.

Challenge:  For the sake of variety, this week’s drabble must include Helen in some way (*any* way you want).

Unforgivable

She’d had that feeling since they’d boarded the plane, that uneasy feeling that something wasn’t right.  But, she’d pushed it aside, not wanting to ruin the happiest day of her life.

As the needle slid into her neck, she cursed herself for not trusting her instincts.  She’d fought them as best she could, had tried in vain to pull Lex out of his drug induced slumbered.  But they were too strong, and the sedative that Lex had taken kept him blissfully ignorant.

A tear rolled down her cheek as her vision faded to black.  She knew he’d never forgive her.

The End.

Challenge:  A meeting in secret.

An Offering

She hugged her arms to her chest as she waited.  The room hadn’t changed much.  It didn’t look as if it had been abandoned for twenty years.  She couldn’t help but glare as he entered the room.  But the cold calm arrogance wasn’t there; he looked tired, strained, almost sad.

“Thank you for coming.”

“What do you want?”  She demanded.

Lex frowned.  “Will you give this to him?”  He asked, handing her the small lead box.

“What is this?”

Lex turned from where he stood in the doorway.  “A truce, Martha.”  He replied before leaving her alone in the room.

The End.

Challenge:  Find the word from your birthday in the archives of the LJ community wordoftheday.  You have a few years to make your choice from.  Write a drabble using that word.

Please include your word and the basic definition in your post; no need for the examples.

Crux \KRUHKS\, noun; plural cruxes, also cruces \KROO-seez\:
1. The basic, central, or critical point or feature.
2. Anything that is very puzzling or difficult to explain or solve.

Temptation

Lex’s breath hitched as he watched Helen tilt her head back, exposing her neck.  God, he wanted her.  He’d missed his shot and the thirst was taking him.

Running his hand down that gorgeous crux, he felt blood pulse beneath his fingers.  She was teasing him, unknowingly begging him.  His own pulse quickened, cold blood pumping through his veins, wanting to be mixed with the warmth of hers.

Unable to resist, Lex kissed his way up her body, leaving soft breasts, nipping at her collarbone.  He shuddered when he reached her neck then sank his teeth into that soft flesh.

The End.

Challenge:  Through the eyes of any Smallville character, describe their favorite person, place, or thing.

Resignation

He slowly eased the door open, thankful for the soundless hinges his money provided.  Despite the low light he could clearly make out the small figure lying on the bed and frowned at the sight.

The boy’s cheeks were red and puffy from where he had cried himself to sleep, clutching her picture in one hand, the watch in the other, still dressed in the suit he’d worn to the funeral.

Thin.  Weak.  Bald.  Hideous.

Yes, his son was beyond flawed.  But he was his son nonetheless, and now that Lillian was gone the boy was all Lionel had left.

The End.

Challenge:  Clark uses his superpowers for a purpose other than rescue.

A Simple Kiss

Clark moaned as he deepened the kiss, sliding his tongue into Lex’s mouth, exploring every inch.  He was tired of all the games and eye-fucks.  He was tired of waiting for Lex to make the first move.  Now he had Lex pressed up against the hard stonewall of the mansion, pinning him in placed with the tongue shoved down his throat.

Clark finally pulled back, panting.  “Tell me that wasn’t a mistake.”  He whispered.  When there was no response, he looked down at Lex.  Concerned at the confused and scared look on his face.  “Lex?”

“Who the fuck are you?”

The End.

Challenge:  I'm all about symmetry. Coming down from the hard and fast porn of last week, we need something slow. Clark and Lex holding hands, and make them lazy, make every word last.

False Smiles

Clark looked at them from where he was perched across the room. He should have been happy for them. But he just couldn’t force a real smile on his face. He loved them. He wanted them to be happy, just not together.

He was alone, and he wasn’t supposed to be alone. He was supposed to be with one of them.

He pushed himself off the pillar and crossed the room. He smiled falsely, kissed Chloe on the cheek, and shook Lex’s hand. Yet, as he held Lex’s hand, his disappointment faded. They would fail, and he would be waiting.

The End

Challenge:  A (space) ship of fools.

I woke up too late today to fall for any pranks. So, I'm extending the spirit of April Fools for another day and giving you another chance to make me believe a story that isn't true. If you're not happy with Smallville, Kansas, put our familiar characters into an alternate universe.

There are Consequences.

“On the charge of voluntary manslaughter, we the jury find the defendant guilty.”

The judge nodded.  “I hereby place you, Alexander Luthor, in the custody of the state department until further sentencing.”

The gavel smacked causing Lex to jump.  He turned and looked at his father.  “Dad?”  He pleaded, unable to hide his fear.

Lionel just watched as the bailers pulled Lex’s hands behind his back, locking the metal cuffs around those slim wrists.

Panicked, Lex searched the courtroom, finding her in the back.  Their eyes locked, and Lex knew Amanda was going to let him pay for her crime.

The End.

Challenge:  Pictures and words.

A man is sitting on the stairs. There's something in his hands that holds his attention. A woman comes up from behind and sits down with him. Someone is headed in their direction, but hasn't been spotted.

Tell us the story.

Fateful Night.

Jude sat on the steps of the apartment, idly swirling the bottle. What he was doing was wrong, but he wasn’t married yet. And what Amanda didn’t know, wouldn’t hurt her.

The sound of feminine laughter, and the clip of high-heel shoes told him that the girls were ready. He glanced over his shoulder and watched as Jocelyn sat down beside him, taking his beer.

“Come on, Jude. First we dance then we fuck.”

Jude smiled, before escorting his beauties to his Ferrari.

~*~

Lex watched Jude climb into his car, before pulling out his cell-phone.

“Amanda? You busy tonight?”

The End.
