FRITZ


          Hi, My name is Fritz and I was 13 years old on June 6/2000.
          I came to live with my "Mom" when I was about 3 months old.
          I had been living at S.H.A.I.D (shelter)and then for a couple of months
          with Mom's son and his wife. I was so lonely there,
          as they both worked all day,that,
          I did all kinds of bad things, like chewing the furniture,etc.
          I was so glad when I came back to Mom, she also had another dog Sam, and two cats at that time, now there is just me and one cat Niki.
          He is a pretty cool cat so I let him think he is boss.

          Wow! I WON in the Birthday Club,
          Mom sent in my pictures to be put on a calender, from one of the Sponsers.
          We never heard from them or of our pictures again!!

          Here is a picture of me and my sister,
          at the old Shelter. We were the lucky ones,we got homes! All our brothers weren't so lucky!!(I am the one close to the hammer, now if I only knew how to use it--)

          It's a hard job opening all those Christmas gifts,
          but it's lots of fun eating the treats!

          After all that posing for the camera and having some treats, we went for our daily walk.

          Stopping to say hello to "LawnBoy", she and her sister,"John Deer" help keep the grass "cut"- in a pasture.

          We are going camping for 2 weeks,( in July) I can't wait!
          Should have some pictures soon.

          "Finally we are at the Lake,I even have my own "pup" tent! But I still sleep with "mom" at night."

          Don't I look beautiful here! I just had my beauty treatment, (not that I needed it, I get more beautiful everyday! but it makes a gal feel good! Now I am ready to go camping again.

          Back camping for another couple of weeks. You would never know I had a large Tumor removed from my stomach, not that long ago. Now I am enjoying my summer, we even got a new 5th wheel that's really nice.

          Time for a nap, after all the walking. There is so much to do here!
          I even got a new rain coat to wear walking!

          "Hurry up!"
          "At last "Mom" is ready!We don't let a little rain stop us!"

          "Well,back from our walk and all nice and dry, time for a little rest before our next adventure!"

          Here I am doing one of my favorite winter things-
          Eating snow! Reminds me of ice cream!!

          A little about Us!
          I, Fritz, was one of 8 puppies left at the old Shaid shelter the summer of 1987.
          My mother was a purebred coonhound and father was an airdale mix I came home here one weekend because the shelter was full."Mom's" son and wife wanted me, so Mom kept me for two weeks while they were moving to their new home.They only had me for a couple of months,then brought me back here because they worked and I did not adjust to being alone all day, so spent my time chewing anything and everything .
          When I came back to Mom I never chewed another thing and Mom tells me I have been one of the best natured dogs she has ever had.
          Until the past few years Sam, Niki and I were favourites at Queens Manor where the older folk looked forward to our visits every month.I would just stand while they petted, and talked to me. I rather enjoyed having them make a fuss over me. Niki liked to sit on the wheel chair trays and go for a ride with the patients. He also loved the petting and attention. Niki is one of the most loving siamese cats I have ever met. He loves to be on Mom's lap and is there as soon as she sits down to do anything,he especially loves to be there when she is on the computer. He came from the old Shaid Shelter. Sam was a favorite at the Manor too,she was part poodle and also came from a shelter, she was 14 when she died . Minnie was a beautiful long haired cat. Both Minnie (age 15)and Sam (age 14) died on the same day , Oct 16, 1997 & 1998.

          Fritz our beloved friend for almost fifteen years,
          passed away Monday,Feb.18,2002.
          We will miss her every day!
          We know she is now with her "sisters" Sam and Minnie, happy and playing at Rainbow Bridge.
