Sherry’s Corner

Practice will be on Sunday nights for Juvenile and Senior Corps unless you are notified that it is cancelled. Seniors, remember that there is NO Pitt practice

on the last Sunday in February (the 29th). Juveniles will still have practice at the studio on Sunday, February 29th from 7:00-8:30. Seniors, also remember the

change in February 7th’s practice. That practice will now be on February 15th from 8-noon. It is important ALL members from both corps attend Sunday night practices. You are a member of a competition corps!! Excellence takes hard work!! Every member should be twirling at least THREE times a week; 1.

Corps night, 2.Sunday night, 3.Some time on Saturday after 1:30. Solo students need to practice at least 5 days a week!!! All solo students should be doing timed straight routines & struts to music!!!!!

Pat and I are looking forward to the Mystery Dinner. What a wonderful fundraiser! A super dinner, great entertainment AND money in the General Fund!!

Hope to see everyone there!!

 Thank you again!

A great time was had by all the girls who attended the bowling & pizza party and the sleepover! Thank you to Cindy Durkacz and all the other parents who helped make this fun event happen!

State Competition-

The Modernette sponsored State Competition will

be held on Sunday, April 4, 2004 at the Icoplex at Southpointe in Canonsburg. Mark your calendar now! This is a mandatory group fundraiser and we need

everyone’s help to make this successful. Please look

for the sign up sheet on the Modernette’s bulletin

board as early as this week. We need help in many different areas so please sign the sheet as soon as possible. There will be different time shifts for all the jobs so

you can pick which time of day is best for you. If you have daughters in solo, you may want to sign

up for set up or clean up. Again, please look for the sign up sheet this week and sign up please!! If you

have any questions, please call Kim Kicinski, Lynn Sivetz or Debbie Lisanti.

Email Directory-

Senior mom Susan Earley is putting together an email directory as another way of getting Modernette information to you. If you have an email address, or yours

has changed recently, please write it on the sheet Susan has hanging on the board at the studio. Thanks!

Fundraisers-

If it seems as though we are giving you a new fundraiser every week, don’t fret! We aren’t!! The three group fundraisers just got scheduled three months in a row

and that made it seem like there are so many going on at once. Next year we will spread the group fundraisers out! We will try doing one in the fall, one in the

winter and maybe one in June. Remember, all fundraisers (except the group functions) are optional. You can fundraise as much as you want, or not at all. The

monthly fundraisers help you lessen the cost of Notre Dame. The group fundraisers help raise money for the ‘general fund’ which includes things like all the

 props for Notre Dame.

If you are chairing a fundraiser, please make sure you call Elaine Malarkey for the format on turning in fundraisers.

**Tambellini’s orders are due February 10th & 11th. Pick up will be on Thursday, February 19th at 4:00pm at the studio. Please enclose full payment with your Tambellini’s order. If you have any questions about the Tambellini’s fundraiser, please call Paula Scarlato.

**Sarris Easter candy order forms went out a few weeks ago. All Sarris orders and money is due on March 2nd & 3rd. Pick up for Sarris will be on March 28th at

the studio. Please call Valerie Shafer with any Sarris Easter candy questions.

**Avon books, information and order forms went out last week. Avon orders are due on February 24th and 25th with pick up being on March 28th at the studio.

If you have any questions concerning the Avon fundraiser, please call Peggy McKeever.

When turning in money for the fundraisers, you may date your check for the delivery date. For example…if Avon orders are due February 24th, and Avon is being delivered on March 28th, you can date the check you turn in with your order for March 28th. Checks will be held for approximately one week after the delivery date.

$$ Treasurer’s Report $$

All payments for your goal account should have been received by now. There will be a $5.00 per week late fee for all payments that haven’t been made. Your daughter will be unable to attend corps practices if you haven’t paid your goal account payment.  Elaine Malarkey hung a list on the board at the studio. If your

name is on that list, please contact her as soon as possible. Goal accounts must be paid in full by May 31st, 2004. That will be the final payment and the rest of your balance will be due then. If you have any questions concerning your goal account, please call Casey Evans.

If you need a check for reimbursement, please fill out a form that is hanging on the board and put it in

the treasurer’s envelope. Checks for reimbursement

are written out twice a month- the 1st and 15th of each month. If your reimbursement is for a high amount,

you may talk to the treasurer about getting it sooner.

Again, if you are turning in a fundraiser to the treasurer, please call Elaine Malarkey for the format you need. If you have any questions for the treasurers,

please call Casey Evans or Elaine Malarkey. Thank you.
