My first bitch and I both opted for a change in lifestyle, immigrating to Australia from New Zealand in Jan 2002.
Since that time, I decided to dedicate a lot more of my life to this wonderful breed, beginning with showing and also starting my own quality breeding kennel.
I came across a breeder in Yass, whom I got my 1st boy "Hekentesh Candy Man" from. Him and I went to our first show not knowing what we were getting ourselves into. I was very lucky to have made many helpful and supportive new friends to guide me in the right direction. With Him being a quick learner and such a big show off, winning classes in group and in show multiple times, it wasn't that hard to become addicted to showing . So with that I decided to get on and breed my own special little show girl. After a couple of months and a little research to find the right male, my NZ bitch was giving birth to six little miracles, one being my little "Modeysa Miss Smarty Pants" whom from day one has made all of us here very proud of her. She attained her Aust Grand championship title by 4 years of age. Along with Best in show, Best in group's, runner up Best in group's and many classes in show, she has won 3rd place in her class at our first Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2004 and 1st place in her class in 2005. She tends to drop her coat at Easter time so after having a litter, we hope she will be ready for another Royal soon. Our first male is named "Modeysa Big Kahuna". He suits is name well being a big boy at that. He is a true showman with many runner up best in shows, classes in show and best in groups to his name. He is not far from becoming our 2nd home bred Grand champion.
Here at Modeysa Samoyeds our aim is to produce healthy happy puppies through soundness, type and temperament, by only using those that have been successfully hip scored.
I am a current member and registered breeder of the Dogs New South Wales and The NSW Samoyed Club.
