Hers is a singular and treasured beauty

I have just now experienced for myself
The icy waters of `Îao,

And the rustling of the sea at Pua Mana
Where Kananaka merrily played.

 Haleakalâ is a majestic mountain
Whose chilly rains tingle against the skin.

It's better that you enter
The warm lands of Kâ`anapali

You will surely be warmed in the shelter of Lele
Where light burns unextinguished by the `ula rains

Tell the name that it may be heard
Maui of Kama is definitely the best.
