Her Life Stands Still
Assumptions turning into worries, Which make her upset, Always thinking of what to do next, Her life involves worry. A state of mind has taken her to where she has come, To rush and to hurry, She chooses no other right, And stress involves her. Hiding behind a wall of perfection, Thinking of what others will think of her, When in reality, it doesn't look perfect at all, And yet she is afraid to speak her mind. When there is pain near, She looks away, even though she cares, And there is a wall, Keeping her from truth In her tears she cries, There is a lesson unknown, They needed her there to understand, That lesson was in their eyes She refuses to become strong, So she cries and hides, Finding no inspiration, Through all things that has come her way Her life doesn't grow, only time grows, and her life is solid, unchanging as time goes by. ©2003 Molly Nicole |
