Josiah at age 3+ years
This was taken in the winter of 94-95. At this time, Josiah was being hospitalized nearly every month for pneumonia. We were starting to learn to deal with it at home, but he was ill nearly constantly. Notice his bluelips and look at those nail beds on his hand! I didn't realize how blue he looked at the time. Looking back at these pictures, its a wonder I wasn't freaking out about it.
In the spring, we would soon move up into the high desert (Victorville CA area). After we moved, Josiah was not hospitalized again for pneumonia. The desert climate seemed to make a huge difference. Up to this point, he had been hospitalized over 32 times! |
