Community Service Projects

As part of the by-laws we are required to perform at least one community service project each year.  This project is aimed at helping needy children and families in our community.

Our 2005-2006 community service projects have included over $2300 in funds, goods, and services donated to local groups and organizations.  We donated funds to the following organizations this year: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids & Linn County Safe Kids Linn County Tanager Place   Great American Bake Sale American Heart Association Marion Public Library We donated services and goods to the following organizations: Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City Collected and donated over 3lbs of can pull-tabs. Harrison Elementary Collected 236 box-tops for education from our members to donate to this school. HACAP Food Reservoir    Collected 61lbs of non-perishable food items to donate Four Oaks    Collected over 60 school supply items Our Fundraising events this year were: -Toys 'R Us Fundraiser              Raised over $200 -Annual Spring Garage Sale             Raised over $1000 -Pampered Chef Fundraiser              Raised over $100 Our ongoing collections include Box-tops for Education and can pull-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House

As you can see our community service organizers are very busy and creative when it comes to helping out our community.
