Moms Offering Moms Support
Your children need time to socialize with other children just as you need time to socialize with other Moms! Join your playgroup weekly for some fun times in both home and public settings!
We have 4 different playgroups geared specifically for you and your children!
Wee Ones: for children 2 and under
Preschool Pals: for children 3-5
Kidz Klub: for children in Kindergarten and older
(this group meets monthly during the school year and weekly during the summer)
Sanity Savers: This is our special playgroup just for Moms (for those who have children enrolled in school). This is a time for the Moms to go out and have some fun!
This is a meeting to plan all of our upcoming activities for the next month, introduce new ideas and answer questions. These meetings are open to all members and we invite everyone to attend and bring ideas. During the meetings we have a craft activity for the children. On occasion we have special speakers. Playgroups take turns providing snacks for this event.
We gather at a member's home (a Mom who has volunteered to host) to share our favorite recipes (of a chosen theme that month) while the children have fun playing. But of course, if you're having "one of those weeks" and can't find time to make something, we always welcome you to join us anyway...there's always plenty to share!
We meet at a member's home to have coffee and chat. While the children play, the Moms socialize and talk about the host's topic. Of course, we usually don't stick to the topic for long and end up talking about everything!
If you're like most of us you never have time to put that scrapbook together, do that knitting you've been working on since last Christmas, or even just pay the bills. During this activity we meet at a child friendly location that allows the children to play in a safe environment while we get some much needed time to work on those "odds and ends" projects.
This activity is exactly what it sounds like. We meet at a different park each month for a day of playing and socializing. Several Moms pack a lunch and the children all have a great time! During those hot summer days, we change this to Pool or Beach Days.
A favorite activity for the Moms! Once a month the Moms gather together for an evening out. We go to restaurants, see movies, go bowling, have game nights, go dancing, etc. We always have a terrific time being with a bunch of friends, eating a hot meal (without having to cut someone else's up first), and have some adult conversation!
Sprinkled throughout the year are special events that we plan. There are holiday activities such as visiting a pumpkin patch, a family winter holiday party, Valentine's Dance, and our Spring Fling/Egg Hunt. We also have occasional family outings on a weekend and Date Nights.
