Collection of Documents Relating to the Life and Work of Sr. MARGARET ANNE CUSACK to be canonized a Saint of God by the Moorish Orthodox Church in America and henceforth known as Saint Margaret of Kenmare |
The Collect of Saint Margaret of Kenmare Oh most holy and faithful Saint Margaret, you answered the call of the Almighty to bring the blessings of peace, freedom, justice and equality to a benighted & oppressed people. Knowing love of one's neighbor to be the Supreme Virtue as Scripture taught, you placed yourself - though born to wealth - in the place of a humble servant of humankind's poorest. Following the words of Our Savior, Issa, and our Prophet, Noble Drew Ali, who taught that service to the suffering and ignorant was service to God himself, you remained ever-faithful to your vocation though fiercely opposed by those even in your own Faith who would profit at suffering. Grant we beseech thee that we, through your intercession, grace and example, may be filled with the strength of spirit to do God's will until every empty belly be filled and every chain of oppression broken. AMEN. |
