Good ole DW looking great!!

This is my favorite DW logo!

Here is DW's 1998 car!!

DW in his shades at Charlotte for the Winston Select!!!!

DW has sold his team and is now filling for the injured Steve Park for three months. After three months DW will be back in his #17 car hopefully with a brand new sponsor. Go get em DW!! I think DW did a great job today filling for Steve Park!! DW finished 23rd at Bristol on March 29th 1998!!

Wow can you believe it Darrell Waltrip will be back in his #17 car at the Brickyard 400 race!! Go DW!!

Can you believe it Steve Park is trying to get back in the car before his scheduled time!! I hope DW will get to stay like planned to start with!! Go DW!!!

This is my thoughts about DW's 1998 season: After 5 races into the 1998 racing season DW sold his race team. When he sold his race he made sure that he was the one to drive the car for the rest of the 1998 season. Tim Beverly brought DW's race team then decide to shut it down til he got a sponsor for DW's car. So while the team was shut down DW filled in for the injured Steve Park for a total of 12 races. When DW returned to his race team that had changed the number from 17 to #35 and had Tasabco as his sponsor. The car started out as a Chevy but then changed to Pontiac. The change was due to the sponsor wanting it to be a Pontiac car not a Chevy car. From this point on I feel that the car was jinxed. Look how much trouble Todd Bodine had with that car. And DW had the same extact trouble with it. I think it was due to the fact that they were using old stuff and no new stuff. I was glad to hear that DW got released from that ride so he can find a better ride. One that is not jinxed like that 35 car. Good luck to DW getting an awesome ride in 1999!! Go DW!!

Great News DW got an awesome ride for 1999!! He will be a teammate to Jimmy Spencer!! DW's sponsor is Big K-mart and his car will have #66 on it!! Good Luck to DW!! Go DW!!

On a good but yet a sad note!!

At Indianapolis, Indiana Thursday August 6th 1999. Darrell Waltrip made the official announcement that the year 2000 will be his last year of racing. The year 2000 will be Darrell Waltrip's Victory tour. I alsp hope he gets a win before the end of season in the year 2000. That would be an awesome way to retire from his wonderful racing career he has had!! Yes I am sad that he is retiring from racing. I know whatever he chooses to do he will be Great at it!! I would like to see Darrell end up as a race commetator for the sport if that is at all possible for him!! I think he would be a Great Commentator!!
