As you can already tell I'm a fan of Jeff Gordon!! I look forward to Jeff Gordon winning the winston cup championship title this year! GO JEFF GORDON!!!!! I love Nascar!! I have been to the Brickyard 400 twice and I really enjoyed it!! It is a great place!! We were there for the 1996 & 1997 races!! I have a some stories about the tracks we have been to!! I hope you enjoy the the stories!!
I'm thrilled that Jeff Has won his second Champoinship!!! With in three years!! Way to go Jeff Gordon!!

My Talladega Trip
Here is my story from Talladega!! We went to the 1998 Talladega spring race!! We were across the way from the big wreck!! I was glad Jeff didn't get tangled up in that wreck. It happened right behind him!! I got to see him finish in the 5th position!!! Way to go Jeff!! This was our first time to camp out at a race track too!! It was fun it was like a really big party going there!! But so far I would have to say my favorite place to go is the Brickyard 400 race!! We are also going to be attending the Coca-Cola 600 race this year!! I hope it will be fun too!! I am so excited about going!! I will tell you about it after we go there!! I really hope you have taken the time to enjoy my homepage!!
My Charlotte Trip
About out trip to the Coca-Cola 600 in 1998!! On the way to the race we saw a semi truck blow a tire. That sure made a big bang!! So then here we are playing dodge the hwy snakes. After that it was smooth sailing. Got to the track at night and camped out!! The next day we did a lot I mean a lot of walking!! I got a race progarm of course and my Jeff Gordon shirt too!! We got some other things as well!! It was so neat to be at that track!! The bottom of the fence was even with the top of the race cars!! I love it!! The roaring engines and the smell of cam2 in the air was great!! Plus when the cars came by you got a nice breeze off of them!! You could also feel the little pieces of rubber that flys off of the tires. It was so much fun!! Wow!! Then to watch Jeff checking out the drivers to see what they had was neat!! You could see he was just a waiting for his chance to run for the lead when it was the right time!! I love it when he won!! I finally got to go to a race where my man was the winner!! I was so happy and thrilled!! I really did enjoy the entire race!! It was a great one!! But to tell you the truth my favorite track really is the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!!
My Michigan Trip
It took us 14 hours to get to Michigan!! When we got there the first place we went was to the track!! When we got there we had just missed Happy Hour so we went straight to DW's souvenir trailer!! So we could meet up with Darwal#66 and his brother!! They are really nice!! Plus while we visiting with Darwal#66 Rusty was at one of his souvenir trailer's signing autograph's. Then we seen Jeremy come out to one of his souvenir trailer's and sign autograph's too!! Well then we all decided it was too hot and split up. We still had to go find a camp site but before we left the track we walked down thru more of the souvenir trailer's and saw: Tony Stewart, Joe Nomcheck, and Rich Brickle out signing autograph's too!! I got pics of Rich and Joe that I will post at a later date after I get them scanned!! 
Well any way we left the track and found a camp site at Bernie's!! This was a really nice place to camp!! Weekend at Bernie's is what the piece of paper said that had the camping rules on it!! A little while after we had got there and sat up our tent this guy came around raising money for the food bank. He gave us fines and as he gave us fines he would hand us a sticker. My stickers were I'd Rather Be Racing, Girls Kick Ass, and the last one he gave me said FARFROMPUKEN because I had a Mt. Dew in my hand. My hubby's sticker's were RACING Not A Sport- Way of life, Don't Be A Dick, and he also got the FARFROMPUKEN sticker!! After this the guy says well now you need to pay your fines you have here. So what are we going to do about it? Then he said it would cost us $5 a piece. So we paid him $10 for the two of us because it is for a good cause!! Then he told us we could raise as much hell as we wanted too!! After that we fired up the grill and noticed a storm moving in. Hubby grilled while I went shopping for t-shirts for the kids!! I bought 2 JG shirts and 1 BL shirt for the kids.
Then I was looking around and the storm was getting closer so I decided I had better walk back to the camp site. Just as I got back it started to rain and hubby just finished grilling. We ate in the van and watch the thunder storm. After a while we went to the tent and watched it rain awhile. Then we decided it was time to go to bed because there wasn't too much else to do. I was awake every hour on the hour and finally about 5:30 EST time I woke up hubby and told him we better get packed up and head in to the track. A little before 6am EST we were in the track packing lot. I did some more shopping of course while hubby took a nap. The when I returned from shopping I woke him up. Then he grilled breakfast!! After that we went in the gate and went into the pits with our pit passes!! That was fun too!!! We got within 10 feet of Jeff Gordon!! What a thrill that was!! I tried to get a pics when he came back to the van but as I snapped the pics of him a girl jumped up in front of me and all I got was her head.
I tried take another one but he was already in the van. Maybe next time I'll get him!! I hope!! Getting to be out on pit road was awesome!! I took pics of pit stalls and pit road too!! Even took pics of the track while we where stand on the track!! I took a pics of the flag stand and pics of Rusty's show car that was out on the track!! Plus I got a pics of Rusty's car on pit road too!! It was a great time!! I'll have a page of pics up as soon as I get them scanned!! After we where done in the pits and on the track we went out to the trailers again and I bought my JG shirt!! Then we went back in the gate and walked around for awhile and then we got into this simulator ride!! The ride was $5 a piece but worth it!! They were using a scene from Days Of Thunder and it was really neat too!! It really felt like you were in that race car!! After that we went look at some other things that were sat up for you to go thru or look at. Then about noon (CST time) we went to our seats for the driver intro's, etc. We had a blast!! My Atlanta Trip
We left our home state at 24 degrees outside with the wind blowing. On our way we saw lots of dead deer and one dead coon(poor thing). When we got to Atlanta, Ga the tempature was around 60 degrees which felt very nice at 9pm in the evening!! We set up our campsite and then we grilled filet manyon (streak with bacon wrapped around it), grilled baked potatoes, and made green beans. It was really good too!! After that we put things away and went to bed for the night. We got up the next morning fixed pancakes, eggs, and sausage links. Then we cleaned up and tore down the campsite. After that we went shopping. I got a new shirt, 2 new key chains, and a beanie racer!! Plus we got a few things for the kids too!! And yes eighteenfan I got you a shot glass but I need you to e-mail me your snail mail!! The shot glass is clear and says NASCAR 2000 on it!! It was a chice of clear or black. I chose the clear cuz I didn't like the black one. I hope that is okay. After we got done shopping we took the stuff back to the blazier. Got our race tickets and went to our seats. We visited with a few people that were around us!! On one side of us was a Tony Stewart fan with his girl friend who was a Bobby Labonte fan. On the other side of us was a Jeff Gordon fan and his wife was a Bobby Labonte fan, her friend was a Terry Labonte fan. Well any we had a great time there!! I was so glad to see cautions in this race cause when we went to Michigan earlier this year it was the caution free race which was boring and to top it off DJ won there!! Early in the race before my man Jeff blew his engine my hubby leaned over to me and said Bobby Labonte is going to win this race today, watch him in the corners!! Of course I just thought okay but I hope Steve Park or Jeremy Mayfield wins instead!! Too bad I went that far just to watch my man blew an engine!! Oh well better luck to him next year!! I really wanted Steve Park to win too but oh well I guess it was better than DJ winning the race!! I took some pictures of the wrecks so I hope they turn out!! If they do I will scan them and post them so you can see them!! After Bobby won the race we hurried up to get out of the stands cuz I didn't want to stick around for any of DJ's celebrating!! I can't stand him and Todd Parrott, they make me sick. Well any way while we left the stands and was headed out the parking area they were giving away bugles, goyoart pops and m&m's!! I love it when you are leaving and they are giving a lot of free stuff cuz they have to get rid of it all!! I hope I didn't ramble on too much!! But it was a of fun!!
