“The Vision of Majestic Mouflons”

  It started with a trip to Ft. Worth, Texas to visit my sister and brother-in-law.  While we were there we went to the Ft. Worth Zoo.  The Ft. Worth Zoo is known to be one of the better zoos in the United States.  It is world class in every respect.  It was there that I was introduced to some of the best European Mouflon Sheep anywhere around.  That day I began to dream of acquiring some of these majestic animals.

  That was the beginning of a dream that became a reality a few years later.  God’s Word says in Psalm 37:4, that He will give us the desires of our heart.  He did that very thing with our first purchase of Mouflons that were from the Ft. Worth Zoo stock.

  Our vision here at Majestic Mouflons is to have world class breeding stock.  To have world class breeding stock our Mouflons must meet three requirements.

1. First requirement is that they must be Pure European Mouflons.
2. Second requirement is they must have good genetics in conformation and color.  Our Netherland stock is known for bright white color.  Bright white saddles, buttocks, belly’s and below their knees.
3. Third requirement is they must have genetics for world class trophy horns.  Not only do our rams carry these genetics but also our ewes carry some of the best genetics for horn length.  Our ewes carry genetics that have produced many world records.

  All in all, our vision is to help improve the quality of European Mouflon Sheep and to share the knowledge that we have learned concerning Mouflons with one another.
