I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in Elementary Education. While in Chicago where I grew up, I started teaching algebra and pre-algebra in the eighth grade, then was an upper grades math lab teacher. After I moved to Hawaii with my submariner husband and son, I taught math and science at the middle school level.
I believe in the family-orientated spirit of Catholic schools and am proud to aid in the development of the young minds that have passed through their doors. I believe that children learn best by “doing” and I encourage open communication with both parents and students in my classroom.
I think, at a child's birth, if a mother could ask a fairy godmother to endow it with the most useful gift, that gift should be curiosity. --Eleanor Roosevelt
