Here's the edited version of the policies for my classroom. Rules: Truly, if you just follow the Golden Rule then everyone will be happy. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Materials: Coming prepared to class is a big deal. It's tough trying to do a project when you don't have your supplies. The following are the supplies you should bring to class everyday. theme paper and the appropriate copybooks pencils and erasers black and red pens crayons and colored pencils black Sharpie dry-erase markers highlighter scissors glue stick and liquid glue transparent protractor and compass standard and metric ruler (nonbendable) lots and lots of index cards! Grading: Homework needs to be completed according to directions with a proper heading and turned in on time. Late assignments and inappropriate headings will lose points. Written work needs to be completed in cursive and in black pen. (All math work, science labs, and tests should be completed in pencil and may be printed.) Individual rubrics are given for projects.
