Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows.
-Helen Keller-
God looked around His garden
and found an empty space,
He then looked upon the earth
and saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you
and lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.

He knew you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be thine".

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

--Until we meet again Dad.
The loss of my father in 1984 when he was only 54, was a devasting time in my life.  Not only was he my father, he was my best friend.  I could talk to dad about anything.  I knew that if something was troubling me I could always talk it over with Dad.  He never made my decisions for me, he just listened and by the time I was through laying it out for him, I had my answer.

He was a kind, gracious, loving person and I know that heaven is better place because he is there.
I was 30 when my father passed away and I know how hard the loss was for me.  How  awful for a small child to lose a loved one and not understand why.  Dr Jane Robertson Westerfield saw the need for a way to help children understand this process and in 1997  Angel Messengers was created.
