Supplementary Materials
	A chemistry review book is not required for this class.  However, some students will find a review book useful especially if they elect to take Advanced Placement Chemistry.  Chemistry review books can be purchased at any local book store or at: Amazon.com
	A scientific calculator will be needed for this class.  Check with your math teacher to make sure which calculator is needed for your math class.  You may use this calculator for Chemistry problems. Keep close tabs on your calculator.  I have seen these $100 calculators at Pawn Shops for $30.00 or less.  You do not want to have to buy back your own calculator!!!  Some of the graphing calculators have periodic tables which would be very useful for this class.
	A Quick Study Bar Chart is not required for this class.  However, some students will find a Bar Chart useful.  The title of the Bar Chart is "Chemistry". It can be purchased at Walden Books or at Borders or on line at: www.barcharts.com
	A pair of safety glasses is needed for this class.  You may use the goggles provided by the school or purchase a more comfortable pair from a local store such as Home Depot, Walmart, etc.
	White Board Markers or Dry Erase Markers are needed for this class.  Chisel Tip are best suited for solving chemistry problems on the provided white boards in class.  They may be purchased at Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, etc.
	Access to a computer will be essential for this class.  If you do not have a home computer, make sure you find a nearby library with computers that have internet connections.
	A paperback book of the student's choosing, which will be read for pleasure in class, is required.
