REVIEW
Bad Boys 2
"Wonderfully filmed, with action, humor, effects, and drama!"
They’re back bigger and badder. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are out to catch another drug dealer in Miami. (Who is also bigger and badder than the first). The drugs are dropped into the water in coffins and then recovered by another boat. Drugs in corpses and all that stuff. Martin Lawrence finds out his sister works for the DEA and Will Smith went out with her in New York and she wants to tell him. DEA and Miami PD are working on the same case (without the DEA knowing). Chases and shootouts follow.
I had just recently seen the first one. This was really fun. Great action, special effects, and humor. There are some scenes that may disturb, anger, or just make you laugh. Like a scene where Martins’ daughter is going on her first date. Martin and Will meet up with the guy at the door. He’s really tall (looks like he’s 30 and vegetable like). Will and Martin just have a field day calling him bad names, pulling their gun, and other things. This has plenty  of violence and language. Produced by Jerry Bruckhemer and directed by Michael Bay (first Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor), this is beautifully shot with lots of action and explosions. This guy know how to get a great shot with lighting, slow motion, and dramatic shots with great score (music). The special effects were almost all practical with real cars crashes, boats, helicopters, and explosions (including blowing up $10 million mansion). There probably were some CG but they are so well blended, you can’t see them.  The shoot out the goes 360 around a wall you may have seen in the trailer, is really cool and done well. The sound was great probably going to see Best Sound nomination. This is a real summer movie, good movie with great action. The content of this movie is a bit strong for some people. Bloody shoot outs, people being shot in the head close, quite a few corpses may be too much for some, lots of language including f-word and racial slurs, skimpy cloths and two naughty rats. So this is a great summer movie that you probably shouldn’t take your grandma to. Oh and the trailers are the best of the year so get there in time for those.

GRADE: A-

SHOULD YOU SEE IT? Yes if you’re fine with violence and language.

R for strong violence and action, pervasive language, sexuality and drug content.
