1. Design a cover for your sketchbook on a piece of drawing paper.
Include your first and last name, Art 1A, and period number. (You may do this on the computer if you like.) Tape your signed expectations on the inside cover of your sketchbook. 2. Cut out a cartoon of your choice and tape it at the TOP of the page UPSIDE DOWN. Enlarge the cartoon 50% when you copy the cartoon below the original UPSIDE DOWN. 3. Do a detailed drawing of your hand as best as you can TWICE (2 times), in two different positions. 4. Draw a modified contour of your bare feet (both of them together) include your ankles too! Fill the page. 5. Select a photograph from a magazine, newspaper, or catalogue that has a lot of negative space in it, glue on a page in your sketchbook. Draw ONLY the NEGITIVE SPACES from the picture next to the original. 6. Do a drawing of a stool, chair, or table, which has a lot of negative spaces. Fill the page and color in NEGATIVE SPACES using pencil or pen. 7. Draw a set of keys (more than one) on a ring. Must be twice life size and show 3D quality through drawing and shading. Use at least five values. 8. Find a picture of a human face or figure with s simple design that you would like to draw. It may come from a magazine or photograph. Tape in sketchbook. (This will be used for a future assignment) |
