Beliefs about leadership
Quality leadership is important for success in all organisations.

I believe that good leaders consistently demonstrate the following skills and beliefs;

* the ability to involve all stakeholders in the activity.

* The ability to enthuse/motivate those around them.

* To set an example (nobody likes a hypocrite)

* To manage others with constructive techniques

* Flexibilty (the ability to adapt to the situation)

* Consistency (so people will know what is expected)

* The use of empathy

* Knowing when to make sacrifices/compromises (for the good of the group)

* To be firm, but fair.

* An awareness of non-verbal feedback/communication.

* To provide regular feedback on performance

* To be supportive of all others, and to promote their development (both career and personal)

* To give praise to others publicly, but to criticise them discreetly (to maintain their esteem).

* To share good news, and good humour often
