What's his name?

I read about a poet, but alas, 'cause hears the shame;
Although the book did show it, I still can't pronounce his name...

Rock-a-bye baby, don't break the bough,
Just
read a poem by Roger McGough.

Although he's no baker he still kneads the dough,
as he cooks up more trouble; that Roger McGough.

Those tough times of trouble, he'd had quite enough
rough treatment of rhyming, poor Roger McGough.

A thought I can't ignore: if a "t" was sought;
Roger McGough, becomes Roger McGought!

(Clearing my throat with a soft little cough)
Should he, (ahem), be called Roger McGough?

So is it Go, Gow, or Gor, Goff, or even Guff?
If you, like me, have had enuff of all this sought of stough
Then raise your hand, or nod your head, or give a little cough.
We've done our dough, come on let's gough. It's time nough we nicked ough!
