Tim's speaking skills have been well used in work and social functions as well as special occassions such as when he was selected to;
- to give the response to the Govenor of NSW, on behalf of the Queens Scout Award recipients.
-To give the vote of thanks speech to the Univeristy Principal on behalf of Tim and his fellow University scholarship winners.
- As the winner of the 2006 City of Greater Geelong Toastmasters Club International Speech competition, Tim represented the club at the Area competition where he was awarded the second place in a very distinguished field of Speech winners.
- Tim is a qualified and experienced bus driver, motorcyclist, and forklift truck driver.
- He also has a boat licence and is experienced with boats, and is a PADI trained SCUBA diver.
Tim has lived, travelled, studied and worked in several overseas countries. He has a basic knowledge of Indonesian language after some tertiary study, and teaching Indonesian to Primary students. His knowledge of Italian and French is very limited.
