A Message From Sweet Pea
Hi there! You don't know me yet, but you will the first
day of school! My name's Sweet Pea, and I'm the class guinea pig! It's
almost time for that special day, so I wanted to let you know what to
expect the first day you come to Kindergarten!
I know you'll LOVE Kindergarten! You will get to do lots of neat
things for the very first time- like sit at your very own desk! Even I
can't do that!
When you come to school, you'll need a few special things. Make sure
Mom or Dad helps you read the Kindergarten shopping list, because I want
you to be well-prepared for school!
You
need to bring your lunch to school in a lunchbox with your name on the
front, and carry everything in a large backpack (name on the front,
too)! If you buy lunch, bring exact change in an envelope, with your
name on the front. You will also need to bring a healthy snack each
day-pack it in a sack separate from your lunch! It shouldn't take more
than 5 minutes to eat-- I know all about grabbing a snack on the run!
I would LOVE to meet you before school starts! Please visit our
classroom on September______ at _______ a.m. Bring all the supplies
marked with a star on the shopping list, and of course, bring mom or
dad! Mrs. Wilt will have lots to show and tell you, and some activities
for you and your family to do!
On
the first day of school, wear your name tag! I'll be waiting for you in
our classroom! It may take me a little while to get to know you, so be
patient! Bring all of your supplies as well as the most important one of
all--a treat for me? NO! A big, beautiful smile! See ya later!
